Colin West is the most exceptional individual with dogs I have ever met. We made a mistake and got a high energy dog that needs lots of exercise and chewed everything when he did not get exercise. Not to mention our dog is very strong and neither my daughter or I could manage him. We tried hiring a trainer, sent the dog to a three week highly recommended boarding training camp. All this without result. In just one day, Colin had the dog in check and after three days of walking our dog he anxiously awaits Colin’s arrival. Colin is the dog whisperer. He not only hikes the dogs, he trains them through the pack. Already after only 6 hikes, Bosco, my 9 year old Lab, is a different dog on Wednesday when Colin picks him up. He’ calmer and happier when I arrive home after work. Colin truly cares about his dogs and sends videos of the walks so you really see your money’s worth! You really get your money’s worth and more. If I could afford him every day I would!
As an overprotective dog owner, I searched high and low for someone who didn’t simply just offer dog walking services, but someone I could trust.. and in Colin I found more; he truly values (and what I believe to be the most important thing in my dog’s well-being), having a balanced relationship with his dogs. I found Colin when I hurt my back and couldn’t walk my dog. My dog is super high energy and needs a good long walk every day. Colin came to meet her and took her for a run with his bike. My dog loved it! Next they started going on pack walks in the Santa Monica Mountains. I really enjoyed watching the videos of their time together. My dog’s behavior has changed dramatically since she is getting the exercise she needs. Colin is trustworthy, reliable and fun! I highly recommend him.
I have a beautiful big powerful Akita. Not just anyone could appreciate and understand an animal of such intensity but Colin does. Colin has a truly unusual ability to feel the spirit of a dog and kindly, gently, powerfully work with that animal to it’s benefit. Colin is a great asset to the happiness of a dog. My standard poodle Adam loves Colin and so do I! Colin is reliable, responsible, and has a magic touch when it comes to dogs. My dog can be very nervous and suspicious around someone strange but Colins’ warm and calming presence immediately put him (and me) at ease. Whenever I need someone to walk my “baby”, Colin is the first one I call. He gets back to me right away, shows up when he says he will and gives me feedback about their walk together. I always feel secure and well taken care of, plus he is reasonably priced! Could I ask for anything more? I don’t think so!

I have an intense, high-energy German Shepherd/Husky mix, who can be nervous and reactive with other dogs. However, she does great with a strong pack leader and really loves socializing with other dogs – especially in a pack environment.
