Colin is the dog whisperer. He not only hikes the dogs, he trains them through the pack. Already after only 6 hikes, Bosco, my 9 year old Lab, is a different dog on Wednesday when Colin picks him up. He' calmer and happier when I arrive home after work. Colin truly cares about his dogs and sends videos of the walks so you really see your money's worth! You really get your money's worth and more. If I could afford him every day I would!

As an overprotective dog owner, I searched high and low for someone who didn't simply just offer dog walking services, but someone I could trust.. and in Colin I found more; he truly values (and what I believe to be the most important thing in my dog's well-being), having a balanced relationship with his dogs. What also struck me about Colin- is that he is extremely polite and is open to addressing any concerns immediately and in the most professional manner! Our little man loves his walks and we love that we can trust someone to keep him active and challenged while we are at work. Sometimes Colin will email brief videos of their hikes which always make me laugh at work... my poor co-workers have to endure watching them over and over again! The best part is that Colin manages the pack extremely well and frankly, he works better with my dog than I do. I love knowing that while I'm stuck at work, my little man gets to enjoy the great outdoors off leash, being a dog. And an added bonus to having your dog join the pack (Colin doesn't advertise this, but its true).. is that over time you will see changes in your dog's behavior... and for the better! My dog feels so much more balanced and confident than he has ever before... TAKE THE LEAP and JOIN THE PACK! You wont' regret it.

I found Colin when I hurt my back and couldn't walk my dog. My dog is super high energy and needs a good long walk every day. Colin came to meet her and took her for a run with his bike. My dog loved it! Next they started going on pack walks in the Santa Monica Mountains. I really enjoyed watching the videos of their time together. My dog's behavior has changed dramatically since she is getting the exercise she needs. Colin is trustworthy, reliable and fun! I highly recommend him.

I have a beautiful big powerful Akita. Not just anyone could appreciate and understand an animal of such intensity but Colin does. Colin has a truly unusual ability to feel the spirit of a dog and kindly, gently, powerfully work with that animal to it's benefit. Colin is a great asset to the happiness of a dog. Bruno's weekly hikes with Colin have tempered his outlook on the world. Fantastic exercise and a great pack for company have enhanced Bruno's life. Colin has actually affected our whole family. Colin and I took Bruno for a one hour walk. Kindly and gently Colin convinced me that I needed to work on a few methods of dog walking too. He brought a big smile to my face as he pointed out some idiosyncrasies of mine that caused Bruno to behave in ways that were difficult. I have been a dog owner my entire life and can honestly say I have never met anyone who could handle dogs as brilliantly as Colin.

My standard poodle Adam loves Colin and so do I! Colin is reliable, responsible, and has a magic touch when it comes to dogs.  My dog can be very nervous and suspicious around someone strange but Colins' warm and calming presence immediately put him (and me) at ease. Whenever I need someone to walk my "baby", Colin is the first one I call. He gets back to me right away, shows up when he says he will and gives me feedback about their walk together.  I always feel secure and well taken care of, plus he is reasonably priced! Could I ask for anything more? I don't think so!

Colin West is the most exceptional individual with dogs I have ever met. We made a mistake and got a high energy dog that needs lots of exercise and chewed everything when he did not get exercise. Not to mention our dog is very strong and neither my daughter or I could manage him. We tried hiring a trainer, sent the dog to a three week highly recommended boarding training camp. All this without result. In just one day, Colin had the dog in check and after three days of walking our dog he anxiously awaits Colin's arrival. He was a normal dog after just one week of Colins walks. Colin clearly has a natural gift with animals! Not to mention he is so polite and caring. He uses no choke chains, no treat inducements, no caging, or any of the highly touted effective training techniques that don't work. He has been a Godsend to us and our dog and is so reasonably priced, no one should ever consider anyone else!!!

(Taken from Yelp--with owner's permission) According to Yelp, five stars means "as good as it gets" - that is exactly how I would describe Colin's Pack. In fact, I would give him 10 stars if I could. I have an intense, high-energy German Shepherd/Husky mix, who can be nervous and reactive with other dogs. However, she does great with a strong pack leader and really loves socializing with other dogs - especially in a pack environment. When I realized that I needed help getting Bella all the exercise and socialization she needs, I felt anxious. I did HOURS of research and finally stumbled upon Colin's Pack during an Internet search and it has been a saving grace for me and Bella. Here are just some of the reasons why I LOVE Colin's Pack: 1. Most importantly, Bella gets great exercise, and the socialization she wants and needs. Plus, she  absolutely adores Colin and is overwhelmed with joy when he comes to pick her up. 2. Colin is incredibly talented - he truly loves and understands dogs. He knows exactly how to communicate to dogs that he is in control, so they are able to relax and have fun, knowing he is in charge. His leadership creates a positive, safe pack environment. 3. He does things right. A day or two before Bella went on her first hike with the pack, Colin made a special trip my house to meet her. He took her on a brief walk with his two dogs, so he could observe her socialization skills and understand how to best integrate her into the pack. This allowed me to relax, because I could see that he was in control and knew how to handle my dog's specific needs. 4. He is patient. If Bella gets too excited when he comes to pick her up (which happens because she loves going with the pack so much), he will interact with her until she is calm and ready to join the pack. This is especially important to me because taking a couple extra minutes could put Colin behind schedule, but those minutes are CRUCIAL for setting Bella up for success with the pack. If her energy level is too high, it could cause tensions with the other dogs in the pack. This shows me that the safety and well-being of the dogs is his first priority. 5. He is informative. When Bella first joined the pack, Colin sent me lots of video clips and pictures of her interacting with the other dogs. It was reassuring and rewarding for me to see her having such a great time. He still sends pictures from time-to-time and always keeps me updated on how she's doing, letting me know if anything interesting, fun or important happens. Plus, he communicates relevant news about his schedule and services in his monthly newsletter. 6. He is incredibly reliable and professional. I can always count on Colin to be there when he says he will be. 7. He is flexible and responsive. My schedule can be a little wonky, and sometimes it works to have him take Bella at regular intervals (for instance, every M, W and F), and sometimes it doesn't. Therefore, it's important to me that I can text him the night before I want Bella to go with the pack. Plus, he is very responsive, so I know quickly that she is all set to go the next day. The bottom line of all this goes back to the five stars - dog walkers/pack hikes don't get better than this; Colin is a diamond in the rough.

I am so grateful for Colin and his Pack! My 7 year old shephard/hound rescue was in such need of a healthy, balanced pack and a solid pack leader...and she found one in Colin's Pack! My previous attempts with other dog walkers or doggie playdates always ended in disappointing reports of consistent fear aggression from my dog Macy. I had given up hope that she would ever be a normal dog that would socialize well with other dogs. She loves to run, but where could I take her? Not the dog park...not play dates...I worried about her future as she put on weight and lost her sense of zest at being limited to neighborhood solo walks. That's when we met Colin. I saw his advertisement and checked out his web videos. I loved how happy and healthy his pack was with him. I dared to hope my dog would one day so happy and healthy. I made the call. I was impressed by Colin's professionalism and relaxed nature. He was easy to talk to and listened attentively about my dog's history. He is a natural pack leader. Macy responded immediately! Was this my dog? I couldn't believe it. And then I started receiving the videos. The videos were elating! I saw for my own eyes how happy and healthy my dog is in Colin's Pack. But it's not limited to the hikes. I've noticed a difference in her demeanor and behavior overall. My friends and neighbors are commenting on what a good dog she's become! She's lost weight and lost much of her anxious behaviors. I've never seen her so well adjusted and content. She's the happy dog she's always been meant to be. Thank you Colin's Pack!
